Customers

A customer represents the person or organisation receiving a licence. Issuing records a snapshot of the customer name in the signed org claim.

Renaming the customer later does not rewrite existing licences: their payloads are already signed. Future licences use the updated customer identity.

Keep customer records free of secrets. A licence may be delivered to a customer, while signing credentials and platform tokens must remain operator-only.
